Week 47: Hosting a friend & a great live show
Weeknote #47.25, from to .
Published on .This week was mostly dedicated to hosting and taking care of a good friend of ours that's going through a tough time, mentally and emotionally. It was nice to see her again after a few years since her last visit.
Listened #
- To Darren Korb's Hades II soundtrack. So, so many great pieces here.
- To Rosalia's LUX. I love it more every time I re-listen.
Watched #
- Continued I Love L.A.
- Continued Pluribus. After a couple of so-so episodes, this 4th one put some intriguing stuff out, in that methodical Vince Gilligan slow-burn style.
- Continued Ghosts' season 2 with episodes 14-18.
- Continued The Expanse's season 2, with episode 2. The first proper space fight of the show and it's as exciting as ever.
- Started Twisted Metal on Prime Video. It's very silly, but very fun and even heartfelt at times.
- Started Animal Control and binged a few episodes. Another great comfort show with a bit of that Joel McHale acidic, playful cynicism.
- ⭐ Grand Theft Hamlet on MUBI. Crazy, funny, and heartfelt documentary filmed entirely in Grand Theft Auto Online.
Played #
- Lots of Marvel Rivals. The "juice" on this game is on another level. Makes every interaction a delight.
- Continued MotionRec. It's not as exciting as other puzzle platformers I've played recently, I'm afraid. Still, it's a good time.
Went out #
- To Tropico for Colombian dinner with friends. The fried yucca and bandeja paisa were fantastic.
- ⭐ For the first time to Bitterzoet for Orbit's concert, with a bunch of friends. I only heard about this artist days before and it was amazing. The venue is great as well.
