Week 52: Holidays in Barcelona
Weeknote #52.25, from to .
Published on .I spent this entire week in Barcelona with my wife. Staying at her mom's place, we got to spend quality time with her and my sisters-in-law. We watched movies, played lots of games, and went out a couple of times - but not as much as we would have liked, as my wife got a cold for a few days and it rained for most of the time we were there!
I ate a lot of delicious Venezuelan and Colombian food - which is both hard to find and expensive in The Netherlands. It was blissful to eat tequeños, pastelitos, empanadas, arepas, sancochos, cachapas, chicha, and pan de jamón.
Finally, it was a great opportunity to rest and relax.
Sweet, cozy times.
Watched #
- The Boss Baby: Christmas Bonus on Netflix. Slightly funny on a few occasions. This was the family's first choice for a Christmas Day movie.
- The Holiday on Netflix. The family's second choice for Christmas Day movie. Loved the L.A. story way more than the London one.
- Stranger Things 5: Volume 2. Enjoying the ride. Specially loved the
- which was also one of my favourite emotional moments from that season. - Goodbye June on Netflix. I was very excited to watch Kate Winslet's directorial debut. But it's just slightly better than a typical straight-to-Netflix affair. My short review.
Played #
- Started Chained Echoes on Steam Deck.
- Lots of Pictionary and Boggle Party, which are now available as Netflix games that can be played on the TV with the phone. It was super fun to play these with the family. Specially because me and my wife managed to dominate the scores!
Read #
- Continued Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol.
